Cookie Policy

Innovate Hub sets no cookies at all, and allows no one else to set one through it. This page says what that means in practice and what happens instead.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to keep and hand back on later visits, which lets the site recognise the same browser again. Cookies are used to keep people signed in, remember settings, count visitors, or follow someone between sites in order to select advertising.

None of that happens here

This site sets no cookie of its own and permits no third party to set one through its pages. Specifically:

• No analytics of any description — no visitor counting, no page measurement, no session recording, no heatmaps.
• No advertising or remarketing cookies, no conversion pixels, no tracking tags, no advertising identifiers.
• No session cookie, because there is no sign-in and no state to carry between pages.
• No preference cookie, because there is no setting to remember.
• No embedded video, comment system, social widget or third-party component — each of which would bring cookies with it.

Since nothing is set, there is nothing to ask permission for, which is why you will not find a cookie banner or a consent dialog anywhere on this site. A banner on a site that sets no cookies would be a false statement about what is happening. Anyone who wants to confirm it can open their browser’s developer tools or storage inspector and look.

No other browser storage either

The same applies to every other place a page can keep data in a browser. This site uses no localStorage, no sessionStorage, no IndexedDB and no cache-based identifiers, and it does not attempt fingerprinting — that is, it does not gather the combination of screen size, fonts, time zone and similar characteristics that can identify a device without a cookie. The single JavaScript file here runs the menu and the expandable questions, writes nothing anywhere and makes no network request. It can be read in full at /assets/main.js.

No external requests

This site loads no web fonts, no hosted libraries, no images from other domains and nothing from any content delivery network. The typefaces are whatever is already on your device. Everything the browser needs comes from innovatehub.online, so opening a page here contacts no other company and gives no other company your IP address.

What does exist: server logs

Delivering a page still means a web server receives a request, and the hosting provider’s server writes a standard log line: IP address, browser user agent, URL requested, response status and time. That is not a cookie and it does not recognise your browser on a later visit. It is the record every web server keeps in order to run and stay secure. These logs are kept for 30 days, and the privacy policy describes them, why they exist and what rights attach to them.

Links away from here

Following a link from this site — to the advertiser, or to an Australian public body — takes you to a site this publisher does not run. Those sites set their own cookies under their own policies. Nothing about you is passed to them from here, because there is nothing to pass.

Managing cookies anyway

Every major browser lets you see which sites have stored cookies, delete them individually or all at once, block third-party cookies or all cookies, and clear everything when the browser closes. The controls are in the privacy or site-data section of the browser’s settings, and each browser’s help pages describe them for the current version. Blocking cookies changes nothing on this site, because there are none to block — every page works identically either way.

If this ever changes

If Innovate Hub ever introduced a cookie or anything equivalent, this page would be rewritten to state what is set, by whom, for what purpose and for how long, and a working consent mechanism would be in place before the first one was set — not afterwards. No tag, pixel or analytics tool will be added ahead of that. Until the effective date at the top of this page changes, what is described here is what is in force.
